Jackie Chan Adventures * psdcgame ** Biff Barksdale *** RKNAUS **** Grimbor > Jade, who usually gets in the most trouble tries to get the talismans from the dark hand gets kidnapped and held in a room with the leader of the dark hand. Her hands are tied together in front of her and the rope is also tied to a pole so she would not go anywhere. Jackie who was split by the tiger talisman rescued Jade and tried to get the talismans back but was to late and revived the demon who wanted the talismans. Later Jackie and Jade defeat the demon and get the talismans back. >> The villain (I didn't catch her name) finds herself mummied up and gagged with some kind of tropical fruit by Jade's scout troop around the 26' mark. A brief scene of a few seconds... one closeup. There's also a minor (and I do mean minor... by any definition) scene of Jackie placing his hand over her mouth a couple of minutes prior. >>> In one ep where Jade turns into a cat(!), she briefly has her hands tied behind her before being released. In the first-season finale, her hands were tied in front of her, and in an ep where she and Jackie find an ancient Mayan temple, they both have their arms tied to the sides. >>>> "The Good Guys" Ratso, Fin and Chow decide that being good guys isn't working out so they KO Jackie and the scene cuts to Jackie and Jade tied back to back with a lot of rope around their torsos. The trio leaves with the mystic opal only to run into three tougher baddies and wind up tied and hanging upside down from a tree branch over a cliff. A little later Jackie and Jade who have freed themselves offcamera get them down. Jem and the Holograms * Risley18 ** Terakonn + Hadji > in the an episode of JEM titled "Hot Time In Hawaii" (Season 2), Jem and the Holograms and the Misfits are competing in a contest. Whoever wins the contest gets to play a live performance at a mansion. The misfits keep winning every competition (because they are cheating) with the help of their manager Zipper. The next competiton is going to be a swimming match. Kimber of the Holograms is just to good to be beaten. So on the night before the swimming match the Holograms and Misfits are at a Hawaiian party and one of the misfits talks Zipper into getting rid of Kimber so she can't compete. Kimber is walking on the beach alone and all of sudden Zipper grabs her from behind and throws her over his shoulder and takes her to cave under a volcano. Zipper ties Kimbers hands behind her back with rope and binds her feet togehter with rope too. Kimber starts to scream for help but Zipper suddenly puts a cloth over her mouth and gags her. So now Kimber is helpless and worst of all the ground she is sitting on is starting to crack and spilt apart due to the valcano erupting. Later on a fan of the Holograms sees what happens to Kimber and tells the other holograms about what happened. So naturally they come over and save her. >> The "Music is magic" episode of Jem & the Holograms (Season 3) involving a magicians charity benefit show ended with the Misfits tied up together in skimpy magician costumes, & gagged, by a villainous magician. It had an earlier scene with the misfits captured by the same magician. One was suspended upside-down, in a full-body straitjacket, & one was in the stocks, while the others were in a cage, if I recall. [more details by Hadji]: In "Music is magic", all four members of the rival rock band were bound and gagged at the end of the episode. All the musicians from both bands had been captured by an evil magician, and they subsequently escaped and captured him. The Misfits were shown tormenting him with various restraints, such as a straitjacket and leg irons. One or more members of the Misfits, the rival rock band, are hanging upside down while straitjacketed. They are not gagged, however. Apparently, he turned the tables on his captors, and in the final scene, they are shown sitting down dejectedly, wrapped in tight rope, gagged with cloths tied over their mouths, and making lots of indignant noises through their gags. All the band members were wearing leotards, like a magician's assitant wears. The discovery of the bound and gagged Misfits is preceded by the vociferous muffled sounds they make through their gags. Jem and the Holograms are wondering out loud how they are doing with the captured magician when they hear the muffled indignant sounds. They then come upon the four Misfits, seated on the floor, bound and gagged. Kimber sees a note pinned to the ropes binding one of them, and picks it up and reads it. It warns them of the magician's impending return for vengeance. She then comments on the magician's skill at his craft; after all, she says, "he kept them quiet!", a reference to the gagged but typically garrulous Misfits. The Holograms then all laugh. Josie and the Pussycats (corrections by Grimbor) * Grimbor A lot of episodes of this show have getting captured in it. In one episode, "Never Mind a Mastermind", Melody, Alex and Alexandria, got captured and tied up (rope around arms, hands behind back, and rope around legs tying them together). They later got saved by Sebastian, the cat, after some bungling. The next episode I saw, "X Marks the Spot", had one point at which everyone (except of course Sebastian the cat) got captured. Alexander got strapped to a rack barefoot and a pendulum with feathers attached swung back and forth tickling his feet (shame this didn't happen to one of the girls). Alexandria was put in stocks, and Josie and Melody were shackled to a wall. Valerie was locked into something like an iron maiden with only her face showing. 3 guesses who saved them. In another episode, everyone was captured and tied to each other, with ropes wrapped around their sides. In one episode, "The Secret Six Secret", Alexandra, Alan, and Josie were captured and tied to poles, hands behind back (but not pole, as the poles were too big), with rope wrapped around the ankles, and the torso. After Alexandra claimed she was an expert at untying ropes, they were then moved to a room with walls that sealed in. They were rescued by Melody, Valerie and Alex. > Also in the "Nemo's a No No Affair" everyone was tied up by adhesive ropes sprayed from guns by Nemo's henchmen. Alexandria was the only one also gagged by these guns. Later on Nemo stuck everyone except Sebastian (who seemed to have switched sides) into glass tubes with anchors attached and dropped them down to the ocean floor. Once again it was the cat to the rescue after he made a diving helmet out of a fishbowl. "Chili Today and Hot Tomale" Melody is kidnapped by The Scorpion and driven off to his hideout. If she's tied up we can only guess since she's only seen from the neck up in the car but when her babbling gets on his nerves the villain slaps an X-shaped tape gag over her mouth. You have to figure even Melody would have known to reach up and pull it off if her hands were free. The gag and any restraints are long gone when Melody is next seen in the Scorpion's hideout. Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space * Grimbor > "The Mini Man Menace" The Pussycats fall afoul of the diminutive dicatator of a planetoid and his Mini Man robots. The Mini Men have guns that shoot black rope and mummify Melody and her alien pet from neck to toe. Shortly after that they get the rest of the group but use less rope to capture them. Josie and Valerie wind up sitting tied back to back while Alexandria is tied standing up. After which the gang gets carted off to a prison they easily escape and it's off to the next planet. Jumanji * Mog >In this episode, Alan (The grown up) Judy and Peter (the children) are going through the jungle in search of clues when they are attacked by killer long grass! Both Judy and Peter and bound, from their shoulders to their feet, and gagged heavily by the grass and dragged away. Lots of "Mmmph"ing and close up shots of them struggling here. the children are then dragged into a mud pit and are completely submerged (one for Sticky Peril fans out there!). Eventually Alan rescues the pair from the mud pit and carries them to safety, still bound and gagged, before he cuts them free. the scene last for maybe a minute or two, but this is probably the best scene in the entire series! In another episode Judy and Peter are captured by Van Pelt, their enemy, as bait for Alan. The pair are seen tied up with rope around their torso's and legs and hands behind them, and over-the-mouth gags, seated in a cage (Overkill, when you think about it! lol!) Plus there is a littel "Mmmph"ing and struggling involved when Alan comes to the rescue, but he is also caught (But not tied) The scene lasts for a few minutes, and the next time you see them they have been freed by Van Pelt so he can hunt them! In this episode, Judy and Peter are joined by their Aunt Nora (I think this is her name! lol!) As they try to fight off Amazons. First Aunt Nora is laying on the floor, bound with lots of rope around her body and legs, hands tied behind her, and gagged OTM style by the Amazon queen. This only lasts for a short time, as Aunt Nora eventually frees herself and goes after the others. Towards the end of the eipsode, Aunt Nora gets her revenge on the queen by tying and gagging her in the same way as she was! Justice League * Biff Barksdale ** Grimbor > In the premiere episode, "Secret Origins", Hawkgirl is shown suspended and restrained by some form of hardened material which encases her lower body and hands. This occurs around the 55' mark, and is relatively brief. A few minutes later, both she and Wonder Woman are held fast by the same substance ... this time upright and fettering their lower arms and legs. This scene lasts a couple of minutes or so, bisected by a commercial break. In the episode "The Enemy Below - Part 2", about six minutes in, Wonder Woman and other JL members are shown kneeling before Aquaman's treacherous brother, their arms restrained behind them in metal mitts. Just after, they are fettered to the wall of a chamber in preparation for a watery demise. They're rescued by the Atlantean queen. In the episode "The Brave and the Bold - Part 2", about 10 minutes in, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern and Batman are captured by highly intelligent gorillas who've mistaken them for spies. They have their wrists shackled behind them. Unable to convince them of their innocence, the foursome effect their escape with some biff and bam, with Hawkgirl kicking ass while still fettered. The sequence ends about three minutes later. In the episode "Fury - Part 1", Aresia, a renegade Amazon, is briefly bound around her upper torso by Batman's bolo before freeing herself, at some point in the first half. Later, Hawkgirl is netted by Amazons and brought before Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons and Diana's mother, her wrists bound behind her with rope. She convinces her that she's a friend of Diana and is soon released. In the episode "Fury - Part 2", Hippolyta is captured by Aresia. Diana confronts her. The queen is brought out, bound with rope around her upper torso and handgagged by Tsukari. Later, she is shackled and chained to a post, her arms behind her. The first scene begins just preceding the only commercial break at around ten minutes in. In the episode "Legends - Part 2", Black Siren, a member of "The Justice Guild of America", is shown frozen in a block of ice in the opening reprise from Part 1, then again about three minutes in, her head now outside the ice. The Flash shares her predicament. Around the five-minute mark, she and Flash are shown bound to the side of a dirigible, their arms pinned to their sides and feet fettered by straps or tape. About twelve minutes in, they're again shown, and very soon after are rescued. The scenes are brief. In "Only a Dream" Part 1, about ten minutes in, Volcana (voiced by Peri Gilpin) is recaptured after escaping from prison. She is blinkily shown with her hands behind her back, apparently restrained, with a oxygen mask-like apparatus over her mouth and nose. Around 22 minutes in, Hawkgirl (Maria Canals) is enwrapped in Copperhead's arms, legs and tail while airborne, her arms pinned to her sides and her legs pressed together. The scene lasts about a minute. Sandwiched between the above is another scene with Hawkgirl trapped in a metal room, the sides closing in almost to the point of squeezing her to death, before a strange visitor from another planet with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men intervenes. "The Terror Beyond" Parts 1 and 2 In a short scene about ten minutes in, Wonder Woman's (voiced by Susan Eisenberg) arms are pinned by the tentacle of a giant sea beast. In a second brief scene around 19 minutes in, she's mummied in magical bandages from head to toe, save her mouth. In Part 2, Hawkgirl's (Maria Canals) limbs are grabbed by other tentacles and spread-eagled in a lengthy scene of about four minutes. This occurs about sixteen minutes in. >> "Hearts and Minds part 2" Hawkgirl and Katma Tui are suspended on either side of Green Lantern in an antigravity beam. They're all held floating in place by the cables attached to the thick metal shackles around their hands, feet and necks. Despro brainwashes Katma with his third eye then releases her. He's working on breaking Hawkgirl's will (and the brainwashing looks like a painful process) when Green Lantern breaks free and releases her. "A Better World part 2" Imprisoned by the Justice Lords all the Justice Leaguers except Hawkgirl are shackled up to large metal X's in individual cells Only Batman and Flash are seen up close but Wonder Woman is briefly seen on one of the monitor screen the Justice Lord's Batman is watching. The unconscious Hawkgirl is found in Arkham Asylum by Green Lantern with her wrists strapped to the bedframe by medical restraints. "Secret Society" part 2 After losing to the Secret Society all the members of the Justice League (with the exceptions of the deepfrozen Martian Manhunter & Green Lantern who's still at large) are seen in Grodd's HQ shackled to X shaped crosses at the wrists, ankles and neck which are inside paralysing Stasis cylinders. Clayface proposes disposing of them immediately but Grodd wants to make it a public event and after Green Lantern is captured the Society upstages the superbowl's halftime show to publicly execute the heroes. Except that Clayface breaks the controls which shuts down the manacles and stasis fields freeing them since he's really the Manhunter and the frozen Manhunter is actually the real Clayface. "Starcrossed part 2" Betrayed by Hawkgirl and shot with a stunner in part 1 we find the Wonder Woman and the whole league in specially equipped thanagarian prison cells. WW is bound standing against a pillar by cables running from waist to chest. A guard enters with a plate of food and uses a control panel to lower the pillar forcing WW to her knees. He drops the plate in front of her and she asks how she's supposed to reach it but he says that's not his problem. The amazon goads him by saying that he'll have to feed her unless he's too scared to get close to her. Being a member of a macho warrior race the guard falls for it and uses his knife to try and feed her a bit of tentacle from the plate. She bites his hand and grabs the knife in her teeth when he winces and lets go of it. She also uses her legs to hold him in place so she can headbutt him across the room. A quick flick of her head tosses the knife into the control panel and the pillar descends into the floor and without it to hold them taut the ropes go slack and she's free to leave her cell and release the other leaguers "Starcrossed part 3" Arrested for high treason for telling the League that Talon's planning to destroy the Earth Hawkgirl is brought before him with her hands cuffed behind her back. She's wearing her thanagarian military uniform rather than her regular costume and her helmet's been removed. She's later seen unrestrained imprisoned within a force field cell until Wonder Woman reluctantly releases her. Justice League Unlimited * Grimbor > "This Little Piggy" Wonder Woman has been magically transformed into a pig by Circe and literally hogtied at a meat packing plant. Fortunately the transformation is reversed (because Batman sings "Am I Blue" for Circe!) just before she can be processed and Diana breaks out of the machine with her wrists still tied and in a very foul mood. She makes short work of the wrist ropes and not surprisingly panics the meat packers. "Ultimatum" Shifter (the 21st century version of Jann of the Wonder Twins from Superfriends) is seen at the end of the episode with the other Ultimen all wearing metal manacles that completely enclose their forearms and hands. "The Balance" Felix Faust deposes Hades and seizes control of the Underworld upseting the magical balance and driving the magically empowered Justice Leaguers berserk. About 5 minutes into the episode Zatanna is seen lying on an examination table with her hands manacled over her head as she writhes in agony. Dispatched by the gods to set things right Wonder Woman (who has reluctantly accepted Hawkwoman's help) confronts Faust for the final showdown at about the 25 minute mark but is hit by a magical bolt that mummifies all of her but her mouth. Faust (in the body of Ares' Annihilator) is about to step on her but Hawkwoman drives him back. While he's fighting her Wonder Woman tears free of the bindings and smashes the Annihilator before Faust can crush Hawkwoman. "Divided We Fall" At the beginning of the show having taked control of the Lexcorp Tower (and Lex Luthor's body) Brainiac is able to make it exude tentacles that , after a brief though fierce battle, overwhelm and grab the leaguers. We're back to the original 7 members though Hawkgirl is now maskless and wearing a plain yellow costume. Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman are seen on either side of Batman. Wonder Woman is held spread eagled while Hawkgirl has her arms and legs bound together. Brainiac implants a special tentacle into the chest of each one of them to begin draining them of all data before destroying them. Fortunately the Martian Manhunter recovers and uses his power to turn intangible to slip free and rescue his comrades.
