"The Incredible Hulk" (also called "The Incredible Hulk & She-Hulk" 1997) * Zorro > "Hollywood Rocks"- Episode 19- in this episode, She-Hulk tries her hand at Hollywood while Dr. Doom tries to get revenge on the Hulk with asteriods or something. Sometime halfway through the episode, She-Hulk is manacled to the floor by her wrists (bent to the side of her head) as Dr. Doom gloats over his plans. She spends several minutes like this before breaking free. Inspector Gadget * Lard 69909 ** Matthew H *** Grimbor (episode titles and improved descriptions) Penny gets kidnapped and tied up a lot in this one. In "The Boat" Penny was caught by MAD agents, locked in a cage, and later tied up with her hands behind her back and ropes wrapped around her on the boat's deck watching Dr. Claw trying to send Inspector Gadget to a watery grave. Brain is tied the same way but they work together to free themselves and rescue Inspector Gadget. In "A Star is Lost" Penny, Gadget, and some guy named Rick Rocker (who Gadget was supposed to protect) get tied up by recording studio tape, with it wrapped all around them. Dr. Klaw started the trio on a conveyor belt leading to a record presser which would squish them but Penny manages to barely get an arm free and contact Brain who arrives for another last minute rescue. In "All That Glitters" which dealt with gold being broken down, Penny was captured and tied up, with her hands behind her back and her feet together. While most scenes have lots of struggling, and a gag, this one didn't. Brain found and untied her. In "Movie Set" episode, Penny was made to wear a green "Princess" dress, and tied to a pole with her hands behind her back and gagged. She was supposed to be the stand-in for movie star/MAD agent Lana but the director intended to have his prop dragon incinerate her for real. Brain freed her in the nick of time. In "Volcano Island" Penny was caught and tied up inside a volcano, hanging from a rope with her arms at her sides waiting for the volcano to erupt. Again Brain freed her before it was too late. In "Curse of the Pharoah" our friend Penny was captured and tied to a pillar with her arms at her sides. Short scene, but the brief struggling wasn't too bad. In "Gadget's Replacement" Penny was nabbed and later seen sitting tied up inside MAD's police computer controlling van. Her hands were tied behind her, with rope wrapped around her ankles and she was gagged. Close-up of her hands as she tries to get free. In "Greenfinger" Penny is nabbed by living tree vines and tied up with her arms to her sides and the vines wrapped all around her, exposing only her feet and head. Later, a MAD agent cuts her free, and takes her in a building and ties her to a chair, with her arms at her sides, her feet to the chair, and gagged. After she gets the gag off, she gets free, but then someone is about to enter the room, so she somehow re-ties herself again (this girl sure is learning fast! I guess all the getting captured messed with her mind). In "Gadget Goes West" Penny wore sort of fancy Western clothes and was captured by a MAD agent after a while, and tied to a chair, hands behind back, but not gagged. Brain helped her get some knots loose later on, but Penny had to work off the ropes herself. Inspector Gadget came by while she was untying herself but naturally this idiot who can't even recognize his own dog, didn't recognize his own niece or the fact that she was in trouble. In "Unhenged" Penny is tied to stonehenge by MAD agents disguised as druids. Her knees are bent, and her arms are stretched out, ropes bound around her wrists wrapped around the "stonehenge". In "Quizz Master" Penny is snooping around a TV Quiz show when she is gagged from behind. In the next scene, she is tied up, with rope wrappedaround her, struggling, and being held up by one hand. She is then slid into a giant bottle, where the ropes slip off rather easily in transit, and Penny takes her gag off and breaks loose. In a second season episode dealing with time travel, "A Clean Sweep", while in 19th century London, Penny is captured by a MAD agent and put in the pillory (hands and head showing). > In "The Coo-Coo Clock Caper" Penny gets captured by an evil clock maker making clock parts out of stolen gold. She was first shakled to a chair, and cloth gagged. Then she was bound with rope, and strapped under a giant clock figure which will crush her at 5pm. She later was able to work the gag off and have Brain come save her, But some moaning and struggling before that. >> Someone in e-mail reminded me of a scene: Matthew H writes in with this: "I am referring to the episode where Gadget is sent to investigate a diamond racket in an old mine (South Africa, I think). Penny is snooping around the labatory (Where the diamonds are being processed), when she is captured by one of the MAD agents, then had her hands tied behind her back, and her feet tied together as well. The agent then places her on a conveyor belt that leads to a laser used to cut diamonds (No gag is involved however). As the belt moved closer to the laser, and Penny struggled to free herself, a number of diamonds fall onto the conveyor belt behind her. She picked up one of the diamonds and uses it to cut the rope around her hands. Quickly getting rid of her bonds, Penny jumps clear off the conveyor belt, just before she reached the laser." The episode was titled "A Clear Case", a reference to the invisibility suit the mad scientist was creating with the powdered diamonds. >>> Also here's three more possibilities During "The Infiltrator" while impersonating Inspector Gadget the quick change artist Presto Chango accuses Penny of being him and has her arrested. The security guard handcuffs her left wrist and takes her to a cell. She is seen through the bars shortly before her release when they realise hse's the real Penny Penny was locked in a cage over a very long drop in "Birds of a Feather." Attempting to swing her way over to a balcony causes the ring holding the cage to bend and start to break and Brain barely arrives in enough time to save her. In "School for Pickpockets" Penny's right wrist is handcuffed to an orerhead bar forcing her to stand on tiptoe. She wears her computer watch on the left and using its magnetic pulse she grabs the key from the other side of the room and unlocks herself. Inuyasha * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "The Girl Who Overcame Time and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome": Present-day teen Kagome is bound hand and foot (wrists behind) by villagers who think her a demon after she time trips back to their era. Presently the village leader accepts her humanity. The scene begins about eleven minutes in, and lasts for ninety seconds or so. In the episode "The Toad Who Would Be Prince", about four minutes in, there are a couple of very brief shots of kimonoed young women being led off with their wrists bound before them, connected to each other. In the episode "Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo", about two minutes in, Kagome is shown lying in a shallow pool, her wrists bound before her, in preparation for having her soul taken from her. The sequence lasts about seven minutes.
