He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983 version) * Grimbor > "Evilseed" Vegetable villain Evilseed declares war on Eternia's animal-life and distributes his special seeds in the guise of a peddlar. He-Man arrives at the palace to find it full of vines which grew from seeds Teela planted. They've bound the King and Queen while Teela is bound and gagged by the vines. He-Man initially frees everyone but more vines arrive and carry them off to a giant tree where Evilseed hangs all his victims. Snake Mountain is also attacked by the vines and Evil-Lyn is carried off and hung up alongside Teela which is where they stay while He-Man and Skeletor team up to defeat Evilseed. "Evil-Lyn's Plot" Before she can cast a spell on He-Man Evil-Lyn is lassoed and hauled up a cliff by the dwarvish Widgets. They leave her hanging and that's where she stays until Skeletor magics them both back to Snake Mountain "Game Plan" Teela is captured by Negator who wants her father's inventions. After pulling down her skycycle with a tractor beam he gives Man-At-Arms a call and shows him Teela standing with her arms chained over her head between his two minions. She's next seen locked in a cell with energy beams for bars and when she gets out of that she steps into a paralysing beam trap that holds her and Battlecat frozen until He-Man defeats Negator. "Teela's Quest" The title refers to Teela's attempts to discover her mother's identity. While searching for clues Teela is captured by Mer-Man and there's a brief shot of her with her hands tied behind her while Mer-Man tells her it's time to redo the sacrifice her father spoiled eighteen years ago. Teela's chained hanging by her wrists to a seaside cliff so she can be sacrificed to a sea monster god. The monster emerges but He-Man arrives in time to save the day. He also discovers that Teela is the Sorceress's daughter but doesn't tell her that. "The Taking of Grayskull" Skeletor uses a white hole to suck Castle Grayskull into his home dimension which weakens the Sorceress's powers. When He-Man and Teela arrive the Sorceress is standing chained with her arms over her head in an alcove next to her throne (which is occupied by Skeletor). She's stuck there for a couple of minutes providing telepathic advice to He-Man as he fights Skeletor battle until He-Man bounces one of Skeletor's beams into her chains to bust her free. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002 version) * Grimbor > "Orko's Garden" The thorny vines which sprout from the seeds that Evil Seed gave to Orko carry off the entire royal court of Eternia including Teela and the Queen. Evil Seed takes the time to menace Teela personally while she's entangled in the vines before dumping everyone in a cavern with their arms bound by vines but their legs free. At which point Evil Seed's tyranosaurus like plant monsters begin hunting everyone down as they run for their lives. Man-At-Arms frees himself then frees his daughter and before long everyone's loose at about the halfway point in the show and the fun is over. A far cry from the original Eighties Masters of the Universe version which had Evil Seed hold Teela, the Queen and Evil-Lyn (not to mention everyone else except for He-Man and Skeletor) captive for most of the episode. "The Island" Crab Monsters looking to earn a place in Skeletor's Army use Man-At-Arms' old mentor hostage to force him and Teela to surrender. They're taken to a beach where the guys are tied together while Teela's tied by herself with ropes around her arms and torso but her legs free. The guys trick the dumb crab watching them into cutting them loose so he can watch them fight it out to settle a loud argument. They immediately knock him down and cut Teela loose. "Council of Evil Part 1" Evil-Lyn was manacled and locked in jail during part 1 but there are more scenes of her in part 2. "Council of Evil Part 2" Evil-Lyn is residing in an Eternian jail with her arms manacled to the elbows in large metal shackles that are tethered to either the walls or floor (it's not shown where the cables connect) so she can't spellcast. She was set up by Skeletor in the previous episode so she might have been cuffed during part 1. Teela and Adam's solo assault on Snake Mountain doesn't quite work out as Teela is snared by the web threads of Skeletor's spiderlike minion and dragged up up and away. She's briefly seen with her arms chained overhead in a cell with her father and a couple of other masters. "The Last Stand" The first episode of the second season picks up where "Council of Evil Part 2" left off so shortly after the title credits we see Teela standing next to her father in Skeletor's dungeon both with their arms manacled over their heads. It's a quick scene since Mossman starts to break into the prison and frees everyone off screen as the scene shifts back to Adam's last stand. "Out of the Past" Teela gets glued to a hut when one of Skeletor's goo monsters tosses some ooze which catches her across the stomach. She gets free of that but then gets her pony tail glued to another wall. She's freed when He-man's sword gives her a haircut. "Rise of the Snake Men part 2" Evil-Lyn's betrayal of Skeletor doesn't work out as planned when King Hiss uses his magic to wrap her in snakelike energy bonds to hold her still while he devours her. She talks her way out of it by promising to lead him to the power of the Elders. After King Hiss breaks into Castle Grayskull he uses the energy snakes to bind the Sorceress in midair and draw her close. But since she annoyed him by putting up a good fight rather than devour her he bites her with his poisonous fangs then dissolves the bonds so she falls to the floor. Luckily He-Man arrives to save the day. "The Price of Deceit" Skeletor is unhappy about Evil-Lyn betraying him to the snakemen so he has her captured and taken to the pool of shadows. Manacled with shackles that run from wrist to elbow and missing her helmet she's hung over the pool which is a gateway to a dimension full of Lovecraftian nastiness. He's going to dump her in when the gateway to the realm opens briefly and trade her life for new monsters to serve him. Evil-Lyn tries to talk Skeletor into remembering the good old days (leading to two significant flashbacks) while he begins lowering her towards the pool but He-man arrives to interrupt the sacrifice. He wasn't told it was Evil-Lyn that Skeletor was using as a sacrifice and figures he'll regret it but being a hero he has to rescue her. Besides who knows what Skeletor will get in exchange for her. He grabs her before she reaches the pool and cuts her chains then gets down to monster busting. After treacherously zapping He-Man at the end of the episode Evil-Lyn's got a place in Skeletor's forces again but they obviously don't trust each other at all. "Awaken the Serpent" After King Hiss & the Snakemen take over the royal palace Teela is seen standing next to Man-at-Arms, King Randor and Fistos all with their hands manacled in front of them and designated as lunch. They make a break for it and reach the armory where they (between scenes) remove the chains and counterattack. Hercules (Animated Movie) * Grumpy > Cartoon fans should check out "Hercules" - Disney's latest animated feature. Meg is used as bait by Hades to lure Herc into a trap. If you've seen the trailer, she's the babe with the purple hair and the attitude. He ties and gags her with wisps of smoke (trust me, it looks better than it sounds). Nice mmmphing (by Susan Egan) and closeups. Occurs about 93 minutes in. Hercules (Animated Series) * Grimbor In the episode "Hercules and the Big Sink" (1.38), Herc's pal Cassandra is happy when people pay attention after one of her predictions comes true. In order to please them, she makes up a prediction that Atlantis will sink. The richest man in Atlantis, upset that he's losing business, buys Hades' sevices and sends Pain and Panic to kidnap her. She's captured right before she's going to appear on THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW (he's been in the business a long time), and bound, gagged and blindfolded. Later, she's ungagged, then regagged. > "Hercules & the River Styx" Hades diverts the River Styx and brings Athens into his domain. When Hercules reaches Athena's temple to call for her aid he discovers both her and Posiedon bound with magical chains that they can't break until he diverts the river back to normal (using Posidon's trident) so they're no longer officially in the underworld and under Hades control. Incidentally both gods have manifested at about 30 feet tall so they tower over Hercules. "Hercules & the Owl Of Athens" Aires son's Panic and Terror steal Athena's owl (hich was on loan to Hercules)and using the wisdom it grant them they're able to enchant chains that bind both their father and Athena side by side so they won't interrupt their game of trivial pursuit (ancient greek version). After violence fails Hercules plays against them to win the freedom of the gods which he barely manages to do by relying on his own brainpower rather than gimmicks thus learning a valuable lesson. In this episode the gods stand a bit taller at about 10 feet tall. Hey Arnold! * ComicMan16 A bunch of boys crash a party held by a bunch of girls, and end up being chased by them. One of the boys (Harold, the fat kid) is caught by them and tied to a chair, while the girls "beautify" him using make-up and nail polish and the like, since that was what they were doing when the boys crashed anyways. > Harold, Sid and Stinky think that they blew up a police station and they think that the police are after them. All 3 of them are in Arnold's basement saying that they should become hobos. Arnold tells them that they are crazy to do this, but Harold tells Arnold that Arnold won't stop them and they tie Arnold to a chair and gag him rope wrapped around his arms and legs, Harold says that they are sorry for doing this, but they can't risk Arnold going to the police and telling them what he knows and Harold, Sid and Stinky leave Arnold tied to the chair and gagged. Later Arnold's grandpa shows up and he sees Arnold tied up and gagged to a chair. Grandpa thinks that Arnold is playing Secret Agent, but Arnold is trying to tell grandpa why he is tied up, but he can't because of the gag! Later Mr. Pots shows up and says that Arnold's grandpa told him that he thinks Arnold is playing Secret Agent and Arnold's mumbling an awful lot then he sighs. After Arnold sighs he jumps up the stairs still tied to the chair! Arnold bursts threw the door to the living room still tied up and gagged to the chair! He lands in front of the TV that his grandpa and Mr. Pots are watching a show. Arnold's grandpa still thinks that Arnold is playing Secret Agent. Arnold unties himself and it turns out that after Arnold removes the gag from his mouth there was a sock behind the gag! Arnold tells his grandpa and Mr. Pots that he was tied up and gagged for 2 hours! He tells them what happened and Mr. Pots said that he blew that police station up! The episode is titled "On the Lam" Histeria! * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "The Renaissance", network censor Lydia Karaoke and a Sister Wendy parody (didn't catch her name) get into it over nudity. The good sister takes one of the "CENSORED" stickers Ms. Karaoke is plastering over naughty bits in artwork and slaps it on her mug. She then frames her ... literally ... the painting pinning her arms to her sides. The censor pulls her arms free, then squares off for a little WWF action with the nun while still lipzipped. At the end of the program, she makes another appearance ... bound to a chair and overgagged with a white triangularly-folded hankie ... uttering a muffled "Histeria!" The first scene occurs about 15 minutes in ... the last around 25 minutes in. The Hurricanes * Molly > Amanda Carey's dad knows the secret of how to score in a old fasioned football game, (he wrote it in a book). Amanda Carey found the book & therefore knew the secret. The Gorgons (opositions/baddies) knew Amanda knew the secret so they came up with a plan to take her out of the equasion. They hand gagged her & walked of with her. (good plan) When we next see Amanda, she is down a cliff side with her hands tied behind her back & cleeve gagged. (better plan) She is found almost straight away, (but then it is a 25 minute cartoon). It shows her being untied & she removes her own gag.
