Gadget and the Gadgetinis * Grimbor > "One Too Many Gadgets" While it was beginning to look like in this series Penny just stays home and directs the Gadgetinis so they do all the fieldwork, in this episode Penny is grabbed by the clone of Lieutentant (formerly Inspector) Gadget and is found a few minutes later by a Gadgetini tied to a chair and gagged. It's a brief scene as it quickly unties her but its nice to see a bit of the old series persists. What's more, she is tied hands behind the chair, feet together. "High Noon" Penny finds the missing inhabitants of the town of Cut'N Shoot (soon to be renamed Gadgetville) hiding in the town hotel for fear of the Barker Gang who are arriving at noon. Panicked by her abrupt arrival (via the chimmney) the townfolk jump her while Gadgetini Fidgit emerges from the fireplace and when the dustcloud clears Penny is wrapped in rope from shins to shoulders and gagged. Not one to take this quietly Penny begins hopping around the room while "Mmph"ing loudly making the townsfolk wonder what she's trying to say. Fidgit tells them she's saying she's Lieutenant Gadget's niece and they apologise and untie her since they're renaming their town so Gadget will visit at the same time the Barker Gang returns to raid and save them. "Madster Game" General Sir's secretary Ms. Miffet takes a lot of anti-Gadget precautions when she hears he's on the way but despite them Gadget ruins her day. He tries to help her untangle her phonecord and when his "Gadget desk organizer hands" slow down from a blur she's bound to her chair. As Gadget leaves for the General's office he lets go of the phone which flies back into her mouth gagging her. Once his meeting is done Gadget finds her tied up and as always fails to realise he's responsible. His attempts to untangle her send her spinning (still tied to her chair) down the hallway like a top. "Swap Team" Gadget's brain has been switched with MAD scientist Dr. Pause's homicidal lab assistant Guy Strong. Penny realises they've changed places and tries to distract Guy while the Gadgetinis net him. Unfortunately Strong has full control over his new body's gadgets and cuts himself loose easily then says he's going to have to take care of "the tin cans and your girlfriend". The story cuts to Gadget in Strong's body and when it returns to Penny she and the Gadgetinis are all trussed to one chair with a lot of rope and there's a bomb with a two minute countdown attached to a chairleg. Strong tells them to yell all they want as there's no one around and leaves. He then uses his gadgets to tie himself to a chair then activates the brain switcher to changes places with General Sir's secretary Ms Miffet. Meanwhile Fidgit manages to squirm around enough to use his finger laser to cut one of Penny's wrists free so she can use her watch to disarm the bomb in the nick of time. The trio investigates a cry for help and finds Miffet in Gadget's body. Freeing her Penny tracks the telephone based brain switch signal to MAD's telephone exchange which is run by two large female bodybuilder types. Penny manages to get Ms. Miffet to use her gadgets to tie up the operators then reverses the process so everyone's back in their own bodies. An accident caused by Gadget stuns the trussed up operators so he gets credit for capturing them and Guy Strong. "Super Boss Gadget" With General Sir in the hospital and Colonel Nosehair finally getting the field assignment he wanted Gadget becomes head of WOMP for a week. Which is bad news for the general's secretary Ms. Miffet since Gadget decides what WOMP needs are uniforms and he uses her as his model. After a couple of awful outfits he decides to try an egyptian design since he's "always liked mummies". After a change of scenes we find Ms. Miffet completely mummified in the office while Gadget and the Gadgetinis admire their handiwork. Being a dedicated secretary when the phone rings she manages to hop across the room and hit the speakerphone button with her chin. When Chief Quimby enters (Trivia note: This is Quimby's first and so far only appearance in the new series. He's now head of the Cryptic Intelligence Agency and General Sir's primary source of information about MAD's activities. And yes he still gets blown up by his self destructing notes) with fresh information he heads out with Gadget and the Gadgetinis in the Gadgetmobile and they bring along the mummified Ms. Miffet. She's seen still mummywrapped in the backseat of the gadgetmobile during MAD's attempts to run Gadget & the gang off the road but at some point offcamera after Gadget's arrival at the Board of Megapowers she gets unwrapped and dressed in a new uniform she likes and models (along with Fidgit) for the Board. "Gadget Eraser" Dr Claw sends an agent back in time to 1957 to stop Gadget's parents from meeting and almost prevents the first meeting of his own parents. There's a brief shot near the end of the show of Claw's mother-to-be Marilyn having her hands cuffed in front of her by the police before being taken to the jail where she'll meet Gordon Claw. "Rock 'N Gadget" Backstage at the global concert for the world's most popular (and Penny's favourite) band "The Mummies Boys" Penny overhears their new soundman talking to Doctor Claw about putting a mind control signal into the broadcast which will be watch by about 2 billion people. Penny's foot hits a bucket but the soundman keeps talking to Claw so she thinks she's in the clear but he was just yakking so he could sneak up on her and grab her. Which she really should have figured out when he started asking Dr. Claw about the weather at MAD HQ. The scene cuts to the soundman looking down into a trunk in which Penny is sitting bound and gagged. He tells her he's too busy to take care of her now so she'll just have to wait. Penny begins mmphing as he shuts the trunk and drags it outside. He leaves it and the trunk shakes as Penny struggles inside. Meanwhile the "Mummies Boys" opening act "Pharoah's Men" is booed offstage by impatient fans and they order their crew to pack up and leave. The trunk is one of theirs so the soundman returns in time to see it a roadie load it into the luggage compartment of the Pharoah's Men's tourbus. As it drives off he figures she's out if the way (and getting very cramped) until it's too late to stop Dr Claw. There's a fade for an ad break and the show resumes in the luggage compartment with Penny shaking the trunk and getting noisy as she can. The scene cuts to inside the trunk and Penny's struggles then does a closeup on her bound wrists as she twists as best she can and manages to tap one of her right fingers against the ropes around her left wrist. For the first time this series we discover her wristwatch still has a laser except it now fires a beam from the watchband and it's a lot more hairtrigger since instead of a sequence of buttons all she has to do is tap a spot on her left wrist. She must have to be very careful not to bump things with her left hand. Anyway the ropes arond the left wrist are burned away and she's free so she tugs off the gag and massages her wrist as she mutters about breaking out of the trunk. After which she convinces the Pharoah's Men to turn the bus around and save the day which makes them superstars. In the scene, Penny is gagged over-the-mouth and has only her hands visibly tied, as we don't see her ankles. "The Lost City of Gold" While Uncle Gadget & the Gadgetinis head into the recently unearthed entrance to the Aztec's long lost City of Gold Penny's stuck back at base camp but overhears assistant archeologist Ron Limond talking to Dr. Claw about how he found the map to the secret entrance & shortcut that avoids all the traps. He heads off to the City and Penny breaks into his safe to find the map. Unfortunately Ron returns unexpectedly to pick up the crowbar he forgot and sees Penny. A little later we see Ron ordering Penny into the secret entrance tunnel (no bonds at this point nor signs of visible weapons so he was probably just using being bigger to coerce her) and he follows her. After returning to Gadget & Co the scene shifts back to Penny and Ron. They're in the treasure room and Ron is locking Penny's wrists and ankles to a chains attached to the stone alter below the statue holding the mystic Crown of Invincibility. Which is MADs real objective though the gold is an added bonus. Penny tells Ron he'll never get away with it (in other words, sorry gags fans but you're out of luck this episode) but he points out he already has and though her doesn't say so explicitly it seems he's planning to leave her there since he's sure help will never arrive. However despite Ron's expectations Gadget bumbles his way past the traps and the living golden guardian idols into the treasure room. While Gadget is accidentally getting the crown off Ron the Gadgetinis use their laser fingers to cut Penny's chains and she leads everyone (except Ron who won't abandon the treasure) back through the secret passage when the city starts to collapse. "Claw's Nephew" While vacationing on a tropical island Penny, Uncle Gadget and the Gadgetinis are abducted by natives under Dr. Claw's control and taken to their village. Penny is tied with her hands behind a pole which is surrounded by a wooden cage. Her uncle and the robots are tied to a pole in another cage with a great deal more rope. It's a brief scene since she's quickly rescued by Billy Claw (a nice kid who has no idea his uncle is the world's most wanted criminal) who sneaks up the cage and unties her hands. They flee the village and the natives start to chase them but a MAD agent among them recogises Billy as the boss's nephew and calls off the pursuit. Penny figures out who "Uncle Gordon" really is and Billy calls his Grandma who tells her son to stop bothering her grandson's friends. Since the one person in the world he fears is his mother Dr. Claw agrees (after whining a bit) and tells the natives to leave Gadget & the Gadgetinis alone then abandons his island base. "Bye Bye Business" The just graduated Amanda Bahnan's first day as CEO of Hong Kong's Bahnan Communications Corporation takes a very unexpected turn when MAD Agents stage a hostile takeover. After sealing off the top floors and trapping Amanda in an elevator she's next seen gagged and tied to a satellite dish on the roof from different angles on multiple screens behind a MAD agent who has taken over her office. Two of Amanda's assistants (1 male, 1 female) are in the office sitting on swivel chairs and wrapped in duct tape from shoulders to knees. Like their boss they're wearing white cloth gags. The agent shows Dr. Claw a long shot of Amanda's predicament and tells Dr. Claw that Amanda's been told she's got until noon to sign the corporation over to him or an incoming high power transmission from New York will roast her on the dish. Meanwhile Gadget's wandering the building thinking it's a stationary supply store and is looking for the checkout. While the Mad Agent returns to the roof Gadget enters the office and assumes the bound assistants are salespeople. He complete fails to understand their muffled attempts to signal him to head for the roof or to at least turn around and look at the screens showing Amanda. While Gadget haggles with them Amanda has had her right wrist freed so she can sign the documents but soon as she does her wrist is retied and she's left on the dish to await the noon transmission despite her protests. The Agent re-enters the office and sends Gadget on his way unaware of who he is or that Gadget has picked up the briefcase with the ownership documents. Through another mixup Gadget returns to the office and this time sees Amanda struggling on the dish on the screens but thinks she's trying out a tanning bed! Amanda's female assistant has had enough and manages to scoot her chair over to the elevator and hit the buttons with her nose to direct Gadget to the roof. Soon as Gadget's gone the agent pushes the assistant away to crash offscreen and heads for the roof. On the roof Amanda's efforts to beg Gadget to free her are misinterpreted and he doesn't resist when the Agents give him a chance to try out the tanning bed next to hers. Luckily the Gadgetinis overload the building's power supply and the dishes veer out of alighnment and miss the transmission. Figuring 5 minutes tanning is enough Gadget cuts himself free and cuts Amanda down too then captures all the MAD agents thanks to dumb luck and the Gadgetinis exploding from the power surge. Gadget Boy Agent Heather gets tied up a lot. One scene had her to tied to a chair in a flooded room, and she constantly bounced around while screaming for help. It would be better if the ropes were more visible. And once Agent Heather and Gadget Boy were tied with chains. But apparently the villians forgot about Gadget Boy's "extra" pair of hands (in other words, "Go go Gadget Boy hands!) that come out of his hat. G-9 was also chained up. This cartoon sucks though. Galaxy Trio * Terakonn > A recently aired episode of the Galaxy Trio, titled "Space Slaves", had Galaxy Girl fully mummywrapped in bandages fired from the villain's gun, so that he can fit her with some mind-controlling anklebands, & later, she is grabbed from behind, by her teammates, held over the mouth, her arms pinned to her sides, & her legs pinned together, so that they can remove the bands. Lots of struggling. Gargoyles * WayCool104 In one episode, everyone was captured and tied up, hands behind back, ropes around sides; including Eliza (the female cop). Many of you wanted to see Eliza tied up, and I am happy to report it happened again. In another episode, she was tied up with rope wrapped all around her. Nice scene. In another episode, Eliza and some other people were shackled to the wall by their hands. > Episode name: (Awakening) Part one & two of a five-part episode; these episodes can be found collected as one movie, entitled: Gargoyles: The Heroes Awaken. The castle in which the gargoyles all live has been taken by Viking soldiers, and all who live there are taken prisoner, including Princess Katharine and her sorcerer friend. The Gargoyles are killed during their stone sleep, but a few gargoyles escaped the massacre. When they return to find their kin slaughtered, they go after the Vikings to exact revenge. The princess and the sorcerer are tied hands behind, ropes around their bodies, in a cave with the Viking leader and another man who betrayed the castle to the Vikings. The four of them exchange hostile threats for a bit, but their repartee is interrupted by the arrival of the gargoyles. The princess gloats that the two men are doomed, but the Viking leader moves to kill her, saying that he will not be first to die. She runs off, still tied, while the magus calls for help. The princess escapes to the edge of a cliff and is cornered by the two men, but Goliath, the head gargoyle, moves to stop them. The three of them slip and fall off the cliff, but Katharine is saved in the nick of time. Episode name: (Monsters) Angela, the female gargoyle, is captured and chained up hands in front by people who are after the loch ness monster. Another scene shows her being towed by an underwater submarine, still chained, but Goliath saves her. If I remember correctly, both scenes take place during the second half of the episode. Episode name: (MIA) Eliza, Angela, Goliath, and Bronx (the half-dog, half gargoyle) are all captured and knocked out by two mythical beings who believe that Goliath left their son Griff to die in world war 2. Goliath wakes up to find Bronx and the girls gone. When he is interrogated by the two beings, he goes back in time via the Phoenix Gate to solve the mystery. Later, we see the fate of the others, they are all chained up hands behind in the basement (except of course, for Bronx). They ask what they have done to Goliath, and the beings retort that Goliath abandoned them, disappearing by sorcery. The girls, knowing that Goliath would never run away, deduce that he went back in time to save Griff. The beings then realize that Goliath is not to blame, and they free the prisoners. Goliath later returns with Griff, and all ends well. Episode name: (Grief) In this episode, Goliath and the others arrive in Egypt and encounter some old enemies. They all get captured and tied with rope, hands behind, ropes around sides, inside a pyramid. They stay that way while the bad guys reveal their plan to free the power of Anubis, the Egyptian god of Death. They later free themselves and escape the pyramid. Episode name: (The New Olympians) Eliza is captured by creatures who resemble those of Greek mythology. They apparently don't like humans, so they use a bola-like weapon to tie her up with. I believe she is placed in three different forms of restraint during this episode. I know that the bola is one, she gets wrapped up with rope around her whole body. I also believe there was another scene earlier with her hands cuffed in front, and another scene before that where she is caught with her arms pinned to her sides. George of the Jungle In one episode, Ursula was captured by some guy and tied hands behind her back. In another, she was tied up with her arms at her sides. G-Force * Lard 69909 In one episode, Pee-Wee and Agatha June were captured and tied back to back, rope wrapped around them pinning their arms to their sides. > In the second part of a two part story, Aggie and Pee-Wee are found in what looks like coffins inside a building some squid robot is about to destroy. When Ace and Dirk save them, they are tied in ropes and tape gagged. G.I. Joe * Darkforce > Episode: "Cobra's Creatures" Cobra was taking over animals' minds and making the good animals and Cobra kidnap several members of the joe and the evil scientist, Dr. Lucifer orders that his girlfriend be released from jail and as they shown his lover Dr. Attilla, in jail with some guards and prison wardens around, Cobra breaks into the jail and take her out of the cell, but as Corba left the warden says "Put the prisoner back in her cell" and they did show the real Dr. Arrilla back into her cell and her hands would bound and she was gagged with a cloth gag. G.I. Joe The Movie * Grimbor > While escaping the hidden kingdom of Cobrala at about the 64 minute mark (with commercials) Lady Jane is grabbed by the vines of one of the guardian trees and bound to its trunk. Not shown is the coccoon that forms around her that she'll be freed from later. A GI Joe strikeforce that attempts a counteract (about twenty minutes later) is also grabbed by the trees but only the guys are shown though Scarlet is clearly seen when the trees are destroyed and the coccoons melt nearer the climactic battle. Goldie Gold and Action Jack * Bob Nielsen ** Lard69969 *** Snowcat > The other was "Goldie Gold & Action Jack". Goldie was a cross between Richie Rich & Nancy Drew - a spoiled rich kid with a nose for getting into trouble, and getting bound and gagged!! There was hardly an episode that didn't involve Goldie bound and in imminent danger of death (usually because of something that putz Jack had done to alert the bad guys to their presence, which of course led to them being captured). >> In the episode "Race Againest Time", Goldie Gold and Action Jack are chaseing some guy that has gone back in time to turn his whole family into lizard people (Which is an idea I had for my cousins at one point, but all I could do was give them a dry skin problem.). While in the old west, Goldie and Jack are captured by our villian. They are then tied with rope around thier waist, and hands behind them. They are then placed on a runaway stagecoach about to go over a cliff. Lucky, Goldie`s great grandmother comes to the rescue, who just happens to be incrediblely rich, and have the most insane gadget as Goldie. The episode "Curse Of The Snake People" Goldie Gold & Action Jack are tied to a stake with there hands behind them. About to be sacrificed to a giant snake. In another episode (Which the title escapes me), Jack and Goldie are tied to a log in an old saw mill by this glowing red radioactive man. BTW, Goldie's dog is tied to the log too. Ropes go across their legs, waist and upper torsos. >>> Here's what I recall... Goldie Gold & Action Jack Did scenes 1. In the first episode Goldie and Jack were tied back to back and hung over a pit with something perilous in. Their hands were tied behind their backs & there were shots of her tied legs. They were tied together in various place around their bodies. 2. In one episode Goldie had her hands tied behind in a carriage that was rolling on to destruction. 3. Goldie was masquerading a someone else when a disembodied (mechanical) hand slapped cuffs on her ankles she was later seen spread eagle chained to a concrete slab. I’m almost positive she had a cursory gag seen that was very quick & poorly shown. I'm pretty sure that she was tied up in at least 8 of the 13 episodes. They are: Episode Guide: 1.Night Of The Crystal Skull 2.Pirate Of The Airways 3.Red Dust Of Doom 4.Revent Of The Ancient Astronaut 5.Prophet Of Doom 6.Night Of The Walking Doom 7.Island Of Terror 8.Curse Of The Snake People 9.Race Against Time 10.Menace Of The Medallion 11.Pursuit Into Perit 12.The Return Of The Man Beast 13.The Goddess of The Black Pearl The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy * Biff Barksdale > "Substitute Teacher" (one segment of 4.8) About eight minutes into this segment of a two-ep program, teacher Miss Butterbean (voiced by Susan Yezzi) is grabbed by Nergal Jr.'s tentacles, which gag her as well, in a blinkie of a scene. About three minutes later, she's shown attached to the ceiling of a restroom by sticky strappy sumpinorothers, gagged again. A short scene. Groove Squad * Biff Barksdale > An insipid ninety minutes of what I assume's the premiere of a TEENick series features three cheerleaders who acquire superpowers and fight evil, 'cause it's cool. Oh, and the right thing to do. Right off the bat, the three are shown bound together, suspended from the ceiling over a vat of Something Nasty. After this opening sequence, the "origin story" begins, but we'll be coming back to the exciting conclusion later. In the meantime, Chrissy (the strong one) has first her wrists, then her torso, ensnared by a villain's beard (I'm not explaining, so don't ask) around 55 minutes in. About 70 minutes in, we return to the cliffhanger, which lasts about two minutes before the girls manage to free themselves. Finally, at around 80 minutes in, Ping (the flying one) is very briefly enwrapped in a humongous appliance cord. In the end, Good (and clear skin) triumphs. And then they win the cheerleading competition. Did I mention insipid? Gummi Bears * RKNAUS > Princess Calla is violently hand-gagged by evil Duke Igthorn and then later bound and gagged and thrown over his shoulder. Gundam Seed * Grimbor > Episode 24 - "war For Two" Having both crashlanded on a desert island Cagalli is overpowered by the physically superior Athrun but being the soft hearted sort instead of finishing her off he settles for tying her up while he tries to signal his comrades. Squirming around with her hands and feet bound just lands Cagalli in a tidal pool that's filling with water but luckily Athrun decides she's not a threat and hauls her out and unties her so she can dry off. Being sure he's more than a match for her he doesn't bother to tie her up again afterwards. Which irks Cagalli because she'd rather he considered her a dangeous adversary and tie her up again than consider her harmless. Gundam Wing * Austin 899 > Sally is captured by OZ solders and taken to a room in a mansion and tied her hands behind a chair.
