Family Guy * Grimbor > In the episode E. Peterbus Enum" in which Peter makes the Griffin Household the independent nation of Petoria Lois says it's the worst thing to happen since they were tortured. In a brief flashback Meg is seen tied up in an iron maiden while Lois hangs by her wrists watching Peter diss the torturer. In another episode "Fish Out Of Water" Lois and Meg are arrested for lewd behaviour and have their hands cuffed behind their backs. Lois escapes by sliding the cuffs under her so she can reach up and get a hairpin to pick the lock while talking to Meg. In the episode "He's Too Sexy For His Fat" an animated Princess Leia is briefly seen in her Return of the Jedi slave girl costume at the mercy of Jabba the Griffin. "Peter Griffin: Father, Husband ... Brother?" Near the end of the episode young evil genius Stewie overpowers head cheerleader Cindi and binds and gags her in the Mens Room then heads out to take her place as part of his latest world domination plan. At the very end of the episode Cindi's found by Glen Quagmire. "Model Misbehavior" Worried by Lois's out of control behavior since she became a professional model Peter and Lois's father abduct her from a party and carry her bound and gagged to her father's limo. They discuss the party while Lois struggles on the floor of the limo but during this scene we only see her bound ankles. Fantastic Four * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "Three Predictions of Dr. Doom", about three minutes in, Sue Richards is kidnapped by Dr. Doom, posing as a photographer (I just report). The camera emits some sort of flora which enwraps her. A little later she's shown additionally overgagged. Finally, when she is rescued around the eight-minute mark, she is bound with rope, now unmuffled, to a seat in the bad doctor's ship. Curiously, she is wearing her FF uni at that point, but was nabbed in full evening dress. Logic was not a strong point of the series. FLCL aka FOOLY COOLY * Biff Barksdale > Episode: "Fooly Cooly" (1.1) About ten minutes in, there's a blinkie of a nurse bound hand (behind) and foot and tapegagged in her undies by Haruko. Flint the Time Detective * Biff Barksdale ** ComicMan16 > In the episode "Coconaut", the group (Flint, Sara and her brother Tony) and Christopher Columbus are captured and tied up, feet together, hands behind back together, ropes pinning arms to torso. The group is left on an island, but Merlock shows up and tosses a knife into the sand for them to use to free themselves. Sara looks over at the knife and squirms along the ground to reach, then uses it to cut the ropes binding her. In the episode "Leafy", Sara is wrapped up in vines along with Flint, Tony and others into a large mass. Her arms are at first wrapped to her torso apart from others. >> In "Go Getalong", Petra and her goons set a trap for the Time Detectives. The Time Detectives arrive in the time period where Petra sent the signal. Sara, Tony and Flint find a woman who takes them to her house so they can eat. When Sara, Tony and Flint are eating, the woman presses a button on a device and ropes come out from behind the chairs tying Sara, Tony and Flint in them The ropes are wrapped around their torsos and pinning their arms to their sides. The woman reveals herself as Petra and explains that she did this so she could capture the Time Shifter, Getalong. Getalong uses her powers for everyone to get along a couple times before Petra, under the spell sets Sara, Tony and Flint free. Flintstone Kids In one episode, they were filming a movie, and Fred and Betty were tied back to back (hands underneath rope). Captain Cavepuppy (Dino) saved them. The Freedom Force * Grimbor > "The Plant Soldiers" Isis is investigating the damming of the Nile River and the theft of the Neckace of Osiris when she finds some weird plants about the size of people. When she takes a closer look two of them grab her arms and legs with their leaves. One of the plants binds her arms behind her with its leaves and marches her off to see the evil wizard who created them. She starts to chant a spell but it wraps a leaf over her mouth so all she can do is mumble. The plant lets her go when they arrive at the wizard's castle so they can engage in some hero-villain dialogue then the Wizard imprisons her in a glass tube so she's cut off from the natural world and can't use her powers. Hercules arrives to break her free and the two of them then save the day. Fruitties Odd Spanish cartoon about an island of talking fruit who live alongside a human girl. One scene involved Kumba, the little jungle girl getting chloroformed by the bad guy before getting knocked out. While still unconcious, you see her seated on a chair while her captor winds some ropes around her. She wakes up afterwards and you get to see some aggressive struggling as she tries hard to free herself from her ropes. Tied arms at sides. Fullmetal Alchemist * Brian R. > "Philosopher's Stone" (1.8) In this alternate history anime, technology is somewhat superceded by alchemy, essentially magic. Edward Elric is a very new state alchemist. His friend Winry is captured by a serial killer, and Edward tracks them down, only to be tricked and caught himself. He is tied to a chair in a meat packing plant. After a bit of taunting from the killer, Winry is revealed. Her hands are secured together with chain wrapped around them and secured overhead. She is overgagged with an alternately narrow and wider piece of gray cloth. There are several quick shots of her as the killer does the usual gloat and ramble, until Edward pulls some trick and escapes to save the day. The sequence starts about 18' in, shortly after Edward is bopped on the head, and lasts around three and a half minutes. Funky Cops * Zorro > In the episode of Funky Cops titled "The Earth Mothers", I caught one scene in which the black cop (with the afro) manages to subdue one of the so-called "Earth Mothers", this black woman with a bee-hive do. To clarify, this is a cartoon that is a campy cop-show set in a 70's-style universe, so it's pretty lame and I only caught it by chance. Anyway, onto the capture. It happened within the last 5 minutes of the episode, and aside for a putz in the beginning, I don't know if they had any more scenes. Anyway, in this scene, the black cop complains about not having "natural rope" or something to subdue the woman with, but mentions having "plenty of tape", and then we see that the woman is bound, gagged, and even blindfolded by many turns of tape. It lasts a few seconds. A "blink and miss" kind of scene. On the episode titled "Double Life", some female cop who works with the 2 main characters is going undercover with a new identity to catch some crooks who are forging bad club passes. Some lame scheme. Anyway, to do this, she dons an afro and purple lipstick. At one point during the last 5 minutes of the show, she is grabbed by the two bad guys and tied up in the back of a van. Ropes are around her body and her hands are behind her, no other bonds are shown (but she pleads for her release, to no avail). However, this scene provides the classic blunder of a foe not gagging their hostage; she is able to speak into a mic that she had on her jacket to entrap the crook, and thus lead the Funky Cops to her rescue. There are a few cuts to her in the van. It's a short scene, but slightly longer than their last DID scene.
