Danny Phantom * Spiegel Man **Biff Barksdale *** Grimbor >"Mystery Meat(Episode 1)" - Updated In the opening segment, Danny's (voiced by David Kaufman) best friends, goth girl Sam (voiced by Grey Delisle) and techno geek Tucker (voiced by Ricky D'shon Collins), get bound and gagged in "ectopuss" tentacles. The scene lasts for most of the opening segment, if I recall correctly. About halfway through the episode, Jazz gets netted by her parents, because they think she's a ghost. The scene lasts for a few seconds, and Jazz easily releases herself from the net. >"One of a Kind(Episode 3)" There's a very quick scene where Sam is gagged by a piece of slime, or ectoplasm, or something to that effect shot over her mouth by the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter, Skulker (voiced, back then, by Matthew St.Patrick), in order to keep her from warning Danny of his presence. The scene lasts for maybe two minutes, and Sam ungags herself, if memory serves correctly. >"My Brother's Keeper(Episode 9)" May not be considered DiD to most, but the screen where the episode title is displayed shows the villain of the episode dangling marionettes of Danny and his older sister Jazz(voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessy). About five minutes into the episode, Jazz is grabbed for a few seconds by a giant hornet, who wraps its front legs around her upper arms somewhat, before being saved by Danny in his ghost form. >"Life Lessons(Episode 18)" When Danny and his human ghost-hunting enemy, Valerie Gray (Voiced by Cree Summer) are forced into becoming "parents" to a small sack of flour, neither are happy with the situation, but add Skulker(Now voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) into this already volatile mix and things are just plain wrong for poor Danny. About halfway through the episode, Danny and Valerie are lured into a trap by Skulker, and knocked unconscious. When they come to, they're handcuffed together, and hunted by Skulker. This lasts until Danny and Valerie work together and manage to beat Skulker and steal the key to the handcuffs, about two or three minutes before the episode ends. >"The Million-Dollar Ghost(Episode 19)" A brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene of Jazz getting hand-gagged by her mom Maddie (voiced by Kath Soucie.) in order to keep the ghosts from finding them (They do anyway, immediately after Maddie informs Jazz that ghosts are in the house.) Also, no bondage, but both Fenton females mentioned above get shoved into the Fenton Weapons Vault, which has no inside handle due to Jack's (voiced by genius VA Rob Paulsen) stupidity/forgetfulness. They aren't rescued during the episode, either. :P >"The Ultimate Enemy"(Movie 2) SPOILERS! Easily the best scene in the series so far. In the final fifteen minutes of the movie, Danny's evil future self Voiced by Eric Roberts), in an effort to ensure that he will be "born" eventually, uses his ghost powers to bind Maddie, Jack, Mister Lancer(Voiced by Ron Perlman), Tucker, and Sam to a vat of highly-combustible condiments at the ruined Nasty Burger. He then uses his powers to gag them. When Jazz tries to stop Dan, he gives her the same treatment. There are various shots of them over the next couple of minutes as Danny battles his evil future self. There's also a brief glimpse of this scene during the first half of the movie, when Clockwork(Voiced by David Carradine) is looking at various events in Danny's future, and this just so happened to be one of them. >>"The Ultimate Enemy" (2.5) Around the fifty-minute mark of this one-hour ep, Sam (voiced by Grey Delisle) and Maddie (Kath Soucie) are restrained by the eponymous villain via glowing green ectoplasmic chains around their torsi. They're also gagged with globs of the stuff. Later, Jazz (Colleen O'Shaughnessey) is first wrapped individually in the chains and gagged as above, then joins the others in group restraint. The sequence lasts about four minutes. "Identity Crisis" At the very start before the title for this episode Sam and Tucker are bound back to back (thighs to neck) by computer cables under the control of cyber ghost Techno. He also turns a camera into a laser burning a line in the floor towards them so Danny will have to choose between saving them and stopping him. Danny's attempt to split into two people fails so Sam jumps pulling the cables and unpluging the computer they're connected to which frees them. Later in the show Techno possesses the Fenton-mobile and the seatbelts bind Sam, Tucker, Danny and Jack to their seats until Jack hits the ejector button. Daria * Austin 899 In one episode, Daria's entire family got straightjacketed when they went crazy during a wilderness trip. (except Daria herself, who we all know always had her head on right!) > One episode, while Daria was watching t.v. you see a scene of a girl tied to a chair on the t.v. She was tied with her hands behind the chair, with some rope wrapped around her. Darkwing Duck * Van B. Mahany > "Dead Duck" Darkwing dies, Gossalan and Launchpad tied up. Different show=One where Morgana McCawber get tied up. Dave the Barbarian * Grimbor > "A Pig's Story" Dark Lord Cuddles the Silly Piggy takes control of the narrator so Princess Candy, little sister Fang along with Dave and their uncle wind up standing in shackles before Cuddles in the throne room then kneeling after the narrator makes them wear oversized silly hats that are very heavy. Fortunately the narrator gets laringytis and while Cuddles is trying to cure him Dave breaks free and hires a new narrator Delta State * Grimbor > "Couch Time" Claire has gone alone into the Delta State searching for her missing memories but encounters the two Uber-Rifters. They override the Delta environment and change it from an alleyway to a padded cell and Claire finds herself bound in a straitjacket. About a minute later Luna & Michael enter the Delta State to try and free her but the Rifters are too strong for them until Phillip joins them and they're able to free Claire by dissolving her bonds. Dennis the Menace In the episode "Water on the Brain", Margeret happened to ride a raft right up to two bank robbers drilling through a wall. They grab her and one says "Tie her up." So they quickly wrap coils of rope around her, pinning her arms to her sides, and her hands are not seen (underneath the rope). She then yells for help, but a guy says "Gag her. She talks too much." She is gagged with a strip on cloth that is clearly *in*, not over, her mouth. Dennis then meets up with her, and takes the gag off, but then puts it back in her mouth when she starts to blow his plan to rescue her. She is later seen free. In another episode, Dennis got captured by a spy and got tied to a chair with his hands behind his back and the chair. He got free by cutting the ropes on a pair of ice skates. In another episode Dennis and two other kids (the black boy and Gina) break into Mr. Wilson's house and cause trouble with a "pet" seal. In part of that episode, the seal breaks into the bathroom and wraps toilet paper around the 3 kids pinning their arms to their sides and the kids close together. Then the seal plays around with a bowl of apples and 3 apples fly into their mouths (which are wide open as they stare at them), gagging them. The kids then spat out the apples. They got free when the seal unwrapped them. In another episode, Dennis and Joey are causing trouble in a hospital and at one point they run through a door and after them a nurse, completely wrapped in bandages (head and feet showing through, hands behind back) bounds out the door, hopping after them. In one episode, Dennis and Joey are in some foreign country and have something villians want, so the villians capture Dennis's parents and we later see them tied back to back sitting on chairs, arms pinned at sides. In one episode titled "Swiss Family Mitchell", Dennis's parents, while barefoot, are captured and have their hands tied together above their heads, while taking a slow trip up to a smoking volcano. Detective Conan *SEE INSTEAD: "Case Closed" Dexter's Laboratory * Austin 899 ** WayCool104 *** Grimbor > One episode titled "Photo Finish", Dexter is a secret agent infiltrating a complex. He fights then ties up a female employee. >> "Dad is Disturbed" Dexter's resident dad keeps getting interrupted during his TV golf game by members of the family, and when Mom shows up and starts talking to her friend Betty, Dad decides to take matters into his own hands. The next scene shows a Betty Rubble lookalike bound and gagged on the kitchen floor. "911" Dexter is watching "Action Hank," a stereotypical "guy" show. There is a brief shot of some unknown woman bound and suspended inside a warehouse, complete with the cliche taunt by the villain. Just before the big battle ensues, the show is cut off by the 911 emergency broadcast system, much to Dexter's dismay. All the efforts of the boy genius to end the emergency are for naught, and by the time the broadcast is over, so is the fight and the rescue! Poor Dex...^v^ >>> During the "Dial M For Monkey" episode "Peltra" Agent Honeydew is tapegagged during her inspiring speech to Monkey. Then the camera pulls back to show her manacled in a standing spreadeagle position with her hands locked inside large metal bars. However her feet are free so while the badguys are busy preparing to skin Monkey she triggers her boot's built in skeleton key in the toe and contorts so that she can unlock the manacles and save Monkey. During another "Dial M For Monkey" episode "Huntorr" Agent Honeydew and the Chief (a computer monitor with a human face) are tied back to back and dangled over a pit of giant bugs to pursuade Monkey to let Huntorr hunt him without using his powers to defend himself. Monkey agrees and beats Huntorr with his innate monkey talents and frees his friends. Digimon * ComicMan16 ** psdcgame *** Biff Barksdale **** Anonymous > Here's an episode from the Digimon Cartoon! When all of a sudden we see the DigiDestined are okay! Then we find out that the "DigiDestined" who are tied up are really the ghost Digimon, Bakemon who were being controlled by the dark rings! In the episode "D-Reaper's Feast", of the third season, Jeri, one of the tamers is captured by the D-Reaper inside a big sphere! Later in the same episode, the D-Reaper shows up and confronts Jeri. The D-Reaper tells Jeri its plan. Then, big red cables come out from the D-Reaper and starts to wrap all around Jeri, pinning her arms to her sides, then the D-Reaper tells Jeri that she has enough energy to evolve even further. Jeri starts thinking that everything is her fault. Calumon is trying to break the cables that have tied up Jeri, but Calumon gets tied as well. Jeri is tied up for mostly the whole episode and is tied up in the next episode as well. Cables wraps around her still but she is able to break free of her bonds in the next to last episode. During this, there is even a point where Jeri is sitting on the floor with coils wrapped around her wrists, which are in front. Another time, Jeri is wrapped up with coils that stretch her arms from her body, and separately wrap around her body. The inside of the D-Reaper looks like a mass of red coils. Here's a new scene from Digimon season 4! In the episode A Molehill Out of a Mountain, the DigiDestined, Takya, Zoe, J.P, Tommy and Koji meet up with the KaratsukiNumemon and the KaratsukiNumemon tell them the problem they're having with Grumblemon. J.P says that he, Takya, Zoe, Tommy and Koji are Legendary Warriors. After hearing this the KaratsukiNumemon get scared and the DigiDestined that they should sleep and they'll rescue the KaratsukiNumemon's women in the morning, After Takya and the others wake up, they find themselves tied up and hanging from a cliff by the KaratsukiNumemon! Rope wrapped around their arms. The KaratsukiNumemon tell the DigiDestined that Grumblemon will have to give their women back and Grumblemon will get his partners back! Of course, the DigiDestined tell the KaratsukiNumemon that they don't know who Grumblemon is. The KaratsukiNumemon think that the DigiDestined are lying. Then, Grumblemon appears and the KaratsukiNumemon tell Grumble that he will have to give them their women back for the DigiDestined. But Grumblemon tells the KaratsukiNumemon that he dose not care what happens to the DigiDestined. The KaratsukiNumemon tells Grumblemon that Takya, Zoe, Tommy, J.P and Koji are Legendary Warriors and Grumblemon says that he dose not believe that they are Legendary Warriors. Grumblemon gets out this big hammer and starts to swing it at the DigiDestined who are tied up. Koji jumps from the cliff and he breaks his bonds and spirit evolve into Lobomon! The KaratsukiNumemon unties the rest of the DigiDestined. >> I have some more scenes in Digimon. In season 1 Joe and Sora are stranded on an Island an are captured by the Bakemon. They tied them up and put Gomamon and Biyomon in a jail cell. Since Joe and Sora aren't going anywhere the Bakemon were going to eat them, but their digimon escaped saved Joe and Sora from their peril and defeated Bakemon. This next one goes by really fast. When the Digidestined aboard a ship run by Numemon they decide to take a little break. But then Kokatrimon who works for Etemon tells the Numemon to capture the Digidestined. They succeed and Kokatrimon turns their digimon into statues. He then ties the Digidestined to a huge net and lets them fry in the sun. Sora and Mimi were the only ones that weren't captured defeated the Kokitrimon and freed the other Digidestined. This scene is from season 2. The Digidestined were planing on rescuing some Gazimon from the Digimon Emperor. In order to get in they have to pretend to be captured. Their digimon tied rope around them and tied their hands behind their backs. Davis, T.K., Cody, Matt, and Kari were tied up shown from behind, with their arms over top of each other, rope wrapped around their arms so they couldn't move them up or down or in any way. They then went in the prison defeated the guards and rescued the Gazimon. >>> In the episode "Ken's Secrett" in Season 2, Yolei and Kari are bound with rope from shoulders to wrists and suspended above a bridge. In the episode "Digimon World Tour, Part 2": I'm going by deductive reasoning here, as I didn't actually see this: In Paris, Caterine, a French Digi-Destined, is bound by Digimon who've entered the real world. She is tied, hands behind, rope wrapped around upper torso, while sitting in a chair. Her Digimon is tied the same way on the floor. In the THIRD SEASON, in the episode "The Icemon Cometh", about 13 minutes in, Rika is grabbed and handgagged by the very large mitts of Icedevimon. She spends some time after literally in his clutches. >>>> The scene begins in the previous episode, "The Prisoner of The Pymarid" where Sora is kidnapped by Datamon. In the next episode, "The Earthquake of MetalGreymon", Sora is seen with her hands and feet chained to a table in a room inside the pymarid, Datamon begins to clone her so he can control her digimon Bioymon. Tai and the rest of her friends save her and destroy Datamon. Doug * Anonymous In one episode where a famous movie director wants to look for new talent in Doug's hometown, Doug daydreams a scene where he (in an action hero suit) rescues a tied-up Patty (a girl at school he likes) from villians which look suspiciously like the bullies at his school. Patty is dressed up in that scene and is sitting in a chair, hands behind her back (but not the chair) and ropes wrapped around pinning her to it. I don't think her feet are tied. > From an anonymous source, in a scene from Doug, in an unknown episode. Doug imagines a Quailman scene, where he and Patti's character Supersport fight Roger (a bully at school) AKA Klotzfinger. Supersport gets captured, then tied to a converouy belt with hammers at the end of the belt. Quailman does save her and almost kiss before Doug comes back into reality. Dragon Ball * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "Penguin Village", Bulma and the gang are attacked by General Blue's magic blue rope, which binds her snugly from shoulders to ankles. A bomb is left behind, but Launch arrives and frees Goku in The Nick O' Time for him to hurl it out the window. The sequence begins about four minutes in, and for the next six minutes or so, Bulma's frenetic antics are featured. Dragon Ball Z, The World's Strongest (Movie) * Austin 899 > Bulma is captured by Dr. Willow's assistant (I can't remember his name) and chained up. Duck Dodgers * Grimbor > "The Wrath of Canasta" Dodgers is vacationing on the western theme park of Roboworld when Nasty Canasta (who you might remember from the classic Loony Toons cartoon "Drip-A-Long Daffy" from which this cartoon borrows a lot of designs) comes gunning for him. The Riders in the Sky sing the Ballard of Duck Dodgers and the action matches the song. One section has Canasta trying to lure Dodgers out by tying his "sweetie" (actually he just met her) Miss Bettie to the railroad tracks with enough rope to mummify her from the neck down. In classic Loony Toons fashion Dodgers diverts the train to run parallel to the tracks and it runs over Canasta instead. "Pig Planet" It turns out that the eager young space cadet is heir to the throne of Swinus 9 (populated by pigs who dress like the cast of Disney's Aladdin) and is required to marry the attractive Princess Incense. But during the wedding the cadet's evil cousin Zag arrives on a flying carpet to "Shanghi and hogtie her". He ties her wrists and arms then flies off with her on his carpet and offers Incense the choice of marrying him or else. She refuses so he takes her to the Lava Lake energy conversion facility and threatens to push her into the magma unless she immediately changes her mind. She refuses but Dodgers and the Cadet arrive by crashing into Zag. While Cadet takes on Zag in a dramatic swordfight the cowardly Dodgers just gets to untie the Princess (which is fine by him). "Of Course You Know This Means War And Peace part 2" At the end of part 1 the traitorous General Z-9 pulled a gun on Queen Tyranni (aka The Martian Queen) and in this episode she's been thrown into the dungeon, locked in a cage with energy bars and for good measure is bound sitting down by energy bounds. Z-9 tells her she's bait for Commander X-2 and she finally catches on that the little guy loves her. There's a few more shots of her bound in the cell scattered throughout the episode until X-2 manages to distract and destroy the robot centurions guarding her and free his beloved queen. "Win, Lose Or Duck" Queen Tyranni along with Commander X-2 and one of their robots is sucked into a computer by a bogus contest and forced into playing a lethal gameshow called "You've No Chance". When she appears in the studio she's locked inside a cage and wearing high tech wrist manacles. Still wearing the manacles she's briefly interviewed by the host who kisses her (assuming that's possible when martians have no visible mouth) before the contest begins. The restraints vanish when the game begins. "The Six Wazillion Dollar Duck" Jamie, the cybertronic woman and wife of Steve the cybertronic man, is abducted by the Martian Commander and locked in a cage with Bigfoot until X-2 can recruit a mad scientist to dissect her. Since the mad scientist seems to have attention deficit disorder and isn't all that bright the Martian Queen is doubtful that this is going to get cybertronic technology for Mars but at least the mad scientist ( a friend of X-2's uncle who need a job) manages to get Jamie strapped onto an operating table so he can begin dismantling her. Luckily the scientist's ineptness and a debate with Jamie about if she should get anesthetic delay things snough for Steve and the temporarily cybertronic Dodgers to break into the Martian base and rescue her. Dungeons and Dragons * Anime Captor > In one episode, the band of adventures face off against a Beholder (a mythical creature with one giant eye and mouth, plus almost a dozen smaller eyes attached to stalks shooting off the main body). The Beholder sends out small teathers that look like silk and wrap around the group, immobilizing them. The group has to rely on a cowardly knight to save them. The Dungeons and Dragons ladies had their arms bound to their sides while their legs remained free. It wasn't a very symetrical binding. One arm would be bound to the person's side while the other was pinned against the chest or shoulder.
