Later, they turn out be illusions, but hey, you can't always win. >>> One episode of Aladdin, "Elemental My Dear Jasmine", Jasmine is caught by a octopus twice, the gets free when a shell falls on him. She also gets caught again this time she gets really wrapped up in its tentacles she gets free when she tells it it's messing up her hair then she swims away and almost gets caught again. >>>> "Sand Switch" Jasmine winds up sitting in the palace dungeon with her arms chained over her head after the sorceress Sadera casts a spell that convinces every human in the city (including Jasmine) that she's their Princess and Aladdin's fiancee while Jasmine's a street rat. Jasmine's animal friends are unaffected and convince her to confront the new couple leading to Sadera having Jasmine dragged off to the dungeon. Fortunately Abu the monkey never goes anywhere without his lockpick and by working with the mouthy parrot frees everyone. "Web Of Fear" After their nest under the city is disturbed a giant spiderlike creature sneaks into the palace seeking Jasmine. She tries to run but it spits web fluid that holds her glued in place. It advances towars her at which point the scene cuts to her father entering the room and by the time the scene cuts back to Jasmine we just get a brief glimpse of her already coccooned from the neck down as the creature puts her on its back and flees the palace. Aladdin enters the nest to rescue her but it turns out Jasmine's in no danger and is already free when he finds her as the creatures are vegetarians and brought her to the nest so she could tell everyone despite the old legends they're not a threat. "Garden Of Evil" In a beauty and the beast style storyline it turns out that years ago the Sultan promised the plant wizard Arboratus his most precious possession for his freedom. Arboratus only admires living beauty so he picks Jasmine who awakens to find vines curling around her bed and be gagged by a leaf slapping over her mouth. She's bound by vines (as are the rest of the cast when they try to interfere) and carried by a plant under Arboratos command. He releases her back in his garden while he tries to find an aesthetic place to put her then has a shrub sprout behind her and bind her wrists with branches as it flowers around her. Jasmine breaks free but all the plants are under Aboratos's command and she quickly winds up bound by vines to a tree trunk. After another failed escape attempt (though this time the plant only binds her legs) he turns her loose to admire his garden and she sees the beauty and figures out that he's just become bitter from humans always wrecking his work. Too bad she can't tell Aladdin this in time to stop him destroying the plant creature. "Armoured And Dangerous" Under the influence of evil enchanted armour that makes him invincible the Sultan has Jasmine arrested for treason and thrown in the dungeon. She sits on the floor with her hands raised over her head and her wrists manacled to a bar set in the wall. The Sultan visits to tell her she won't be stuck in the dungeon too long as he's having her executed at sunset. Jasmine's marched to the block with her hands chained before her but fortunately the executioner is well aware the Sultan has gone mad and uses the ax to cut through her chains. While the Sultan is punching the executioner Jasmine escapes as Aladdin returns to save the day. "The Prophet Motive" Jasmine and Aladdin sit facing each other with their hands tied behind their back faking boredom while the villan unsuccessfully fights the urge to impress them by telling them his evil plan. Shortly afterwards he cuts them loose since he wants to use Jasmine to test for boobytraps. "Riders Redux" Bandits using an enchanted hourglass that pauses time wrap Jasmine and her escorts in chains while they're frozen beween moments. She's rescued by Aladdin who's working undercover in tha bandits gang. Alienators: Evolution Continues * Grimbor > In the episode "Head Case" Rebecca Bradbury, daughter of eccentric neural scientist Dr. Bradbury, is ensnared by a giant vine with venus flytrap like flowers in an effort to extort her father's brainwashing research from him. Naturally the Alienators save the day. All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "Phase 0II", Nuku Nuku is wrapped up in the tentacles of a metal octopus. She's wearing a special swimming outfit, including a single swimfin, keeping her feet together. Being a superstrong android, she manages to free herself. The scene occurs around 20 minutes in, without commercials. In the episode "Phase 0IV", about seven minutes in (without ads), Eimi, an android like Nuku Nuku, tells of her abuse at Mishima Heavy Industries. There's a dreamlike montage lasting a few seconds of her bound in various ways. The story is fabricated. She wants Nuku Nuku's artificial body to replace her substandard one. Around 17 minutes in, she ensnares Nuku Nuku in metal tentacles, and flies off with her. They go for a wild ride over the city, causing much destruction, as they struggle with each other. American Dad * Biff Barksdale >"Stan Knows Best" "Dad has his daughter kidnapped from a party. Agents break in through the skylight and stuff her in a bag. Back at home, she is seated in a chair with her hands tied behind her, and a tape gag. The gag is removed quickly (by her mother), but she stays tied for a while before she manages to free herself." "Francine's Flashback" *Grimbor >Roger the alien KOs both his blind date and Chris's date (who only agreed to date him if he found a date for her ugly friend) after she discovers he's an ET. Near the end of the show the rest of the family arrive home to find both girls bound and gagged with duct tape after which they're seen unconscious in a CIA lab having their memories of the last 24 hours erased Archie's Weird Mysteries * Biff Barksdale > In the episode "Little Chock'Lit Shoppe of Horrors", Betty and Veronica find themselves in the clutches of a HAL-like computer system that has taken over Pop's. They are shown gagged and bound with duct tape around their upper torsi. There's a goodly bit of vocalizing and struggling over about a two-minute span beginning around the 24' mark, until they work free of their bonds. Astro Boy (2004) * Alan Smithee ** Grimbor > Episode Title: "Reviving Jumbo" Astro's rather attractive school teacher, Miss Miyoki, is surprised in her home, right before the commercial break, by two thugs working for arch-criminal Skunk. When we see her next, she wakes up in the cockpit of a giant robot (the Jumbo of the title) that the goons have rebuilt to help free thier boss from a hgh-tech prison. Her hands are bound behind her back, with additional rope around her torso. Her ankles are bound, and she is dectective gagged with a white cloth. She doesn't make any noise from under the gag, instead choosing to think out loud; later, despite being bound, she attacks the villains when they try to destroy Astro. After they escape, she succeeds in loosening her gag and calling for Astro, who promptly rescues her. There are a number of close-ups of her gagged face, but not many shots of her bonds. Only one wide shot shows her ankles bound (despite having kicked one of the goons earlier) but it's after she gets the gag off. She does struggle against her bonds a few times, though. If anyone's interested, she's wearing a pink jacket and blue jeans. >> "Hydra-Jacked" Yuko Miyoki gets another scene when she stumbles onto an illegal toxic waste dump and is attacked by something unseen (by the viewer) that rushes at her. After the commercial break she wakes up in a robot junkheap with her hands bound behind her (all shots of her are from the front, no views of her bound hands). She tries to cut the bonds on the junk but is interrupted by the arrival of the three female villains of this episode, one of whom is Sarah, the forest ranger she had thought on her side. After Sarah menaces her for a bit with her robot python they head off to take care of Astro before dumping the rest of the waste. While initally disabled Astro recovers but powers down when Sarah reveals Yuko wrapped in the robot snake and threatens to crush her unless he surrenders. Yuko is released from the snake but still tied as Sarah tries to finish off Astro but the apparent arrival of the monster of the lake panics the bad girl trio and they run off into the net trap that was set to catch the monster and wind up swinging from a tree in the net. Astro frees Miyuki and there's a very brief shot of him holding the bonds which look more like handcuffs than ropes. Avengers (late 90's) * Grimbor > In "To Rule Atlantis" Tigra is caught in a net by atlantean soldiers and is later seen alongside the Scarlet Witch and the male Avengers with her hands locked in front of her by heavy duty cuffs. During "The Sorceress's Apprentice" the Scarlet Witch's arms are bound to her body by a magical energy band while in the final Ultron episode her hands are cuffed together (with far too much slack in the chain) so she can't make magical gestures. Earlier in the episode her wrists were caught in forcefield cuffs designed to hold her next ot abomb until it exploded. As you might have guessed she got away before the blast.
